The second podcast was alot easier to produce and to create and finalize. I ended up having to purchase a program called Screen Flow for the video capturing of the photoshop tutorial. That was kinda a pain because it was expensive, but the program was worth it, since I have to use video screen capturing for future podcasts and videos. Editing the podcast did not take as long this time because for one I had tons of footage from the screen capture, as you will see...sorry, and I was more comfortable dragging and dropping things and getting it done. I had a good time shooting the footage, even though there is alot, and I mean alot of footage I didn't use because it was just ridiculous stuff. I also enjoyed filming Brandon's podcast because we got creative with his video and made it pretty interesting. Overall the second podcast was good and I gained a program out of it and knowledge that I need to work faster when capturing what I am actually doing on the screen for the viewers, because it ran long. Enjoy.

Wow, that ending makes me laugh! I didn't really understand the intro, but I thought the whole thing was fun. It got a little slow, but I was glad that you didn't have any music. It was very informative and I liked how simply you presented the information. I had a hard time seeing the ad itself because the ad was such a small part of the screen you captured. I was kinda curious what the end ad was when you signed off too. Great job Scott!
Scott, this was a great second podcast. It was a little long, but the information covered was very thorough and easy to follow. I agree with Nikki that the ad was very hard to see along with the buttons you were clicking while working. Maybe next time you could zoom in on some sections to catch a little more detail. Overall it was a great podcast and I loved the ending. I am looking forward to your next one.
Scott, it was a nice podcast! It was good that you actually talked through all the steps you were taking, so even with the small screen, I could still follow your insructions and if needed - do it myself! Svetlana
Scott, I really like the beginning and ending. Very funny, especially with the music. Your podcast was very informative and although it was a little long, you covered every step clearly so anyone could go into photoshop and do this. If you plan on using the screen capture software for the next podcast, one thing you might try is to swap back and forth between you working on the computer and the screen shots. By breaking this up, it may help it not seem as long and slow at times. I am curious about the software, can you edit it? Or are you stuck with what you have? The screen and your image were a little hard to see, mainly because of having to compress it, but since you explained each step and where one would find certain tools, it helped a lot. Great job and I look forward to next podcast over InDesign.
Nice idea for a podcast. Can you zoom in on particular settings rather than using the entire screen? It can be difficult to see the tool bar or the cursor—this may be an issue for new users. You did a good job covering alternate ways of doing things such as opening a file. You might be able to shorten the process a bit, perhaps only changing the font once. Did you do the voice over while you were doing the video or afterward? Putting in the voice from a script after you edit the video may help you find a way to shorten it a bit. It would also allow you to have multiple takes of a task. In structuring something like this, you should let the learner see what the end product will look like before you start. Why did you save the end product as a PDF? You should probably explain this to the user. I look forward to seeing the InDesign project.
