Podcast #2 - Photoshop Tutorial

The second podcast was alot easier to produce and to create and finalize. I ended up having to purchase a program called Screen Flow for the video capturing of the photoshop tutorial. That was kinda a pain because it was expensive, but the program was worth it, since I have to use video screen capturing for future podcasts and videos. Editing the podcast did not take as long this time because for one I had tons of footage from the screen capture, as you will see...sorry, and I was more comfortable dragging and dropping things and getting it done. I had a good time shooting the footage, even though there is alot, and I mean alot of footage I didn't use because it was just ridiculous stuff. I also enjoyed filming Brandon's podcast because we got creative with his video and made it pretty interesting. Overall the second podcast was good and I gained a program out of it and knowledge that I need to work faster when capturing what I am actually doing on the screen for the viewers, because it ran long. Enjoy.

Podcast #1 - Introduction

I enjoyed the first podcast, though shooting the video was pretty time consuming. I also had fun editing and laying out the video. It was good to get the experience of shooting video and editing the video, which is what I wanted hoped to get out of this class. Brandon and I shot our videos together to save on time and it was interesting to have a sort of crash course in using the camcorder and trying to get the audio to record clearly with the lapel mic. We ran into some problems with lighting and white balance, but I think they turned out decent for our first podcasts. I hope my future podcasts show improvement in my video editing and shooting skills. Also I will probably try to keep some aspects of the podcast light-hearted so they are not so mundane to watch. Overall I enjoyed working with iMovie HD and using the video equipment.
